The PCUMA uses this Geoportal to integrate, organise, and display geographical and heritage information relating to the Galician coastline.
The platform brings together data from the ÁREAS NAI and the CENSO DO PATRIMONIO MARÍTIMO INMOBLE projects and offers an interactive viewer to support both the promotion and the cultural and territorial planning of these areas.
The ÁREAS NAI viewer is a specialised tool that consolidates and systematically presents the information gathered during the inventory, delimitation, and detailed study of these coastal areas of high cultural, landscape, and heritage value, known as Espacios de interés cultural marítimo (EICM, maritime cultural interest spaces).
The main objective of the viewer is to provide a technical resource that enables the identification, analysis, and dissemination of these spaces, where maritime culture is prominent due to the areas' lower degree of alteration caused by urbanisation and industrialisation processes.
Through this resource, users can access data describing the uniqueness of each area, taking into account the presence of heritage elements and the significance of the surrounding environment as an interconnected cultural space.
